Jeanette Thomson wanted a new design for her website as well as a new logo. The new logo incorporates an architectural column element found in the old logo but with a cleaner style and color. The website has a wide clean format and features images of the many residential new construction and remodeling projects she has done. It was a pleasure working with Jeanette on this project.

Patrick O’Toole of Ecology Recovery Systems in Worcester, MA needed a website for his company and for a new program they were starting to recover silver from X-ray films. I first designed a new logo for ERS then worked with Susan Ahern of build to develop this website in WordPress. Susan’s clean and colorful vision led to the final simple, clean and elegant design. The site includes customized areas such as forms for requesting a quote and scheduling X-ray pickups. It was a pleasure working with Susan and Patrick on this project.

The Boston Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association – IFMA Boston – wanted to redesign their existing website and move it to the WordPress platform from a static HTML/CSS site. Susan Nigrosh of Susan Nigrosh Consulting coordinated this project with Jennessa Durrani of Celebrate Studio who did the design for the website and myself who built the site in WordPress. Much functionality was added to the site to make it dynamic and accessible for their over 800 members.

Mary Starr Green had a lot of conceptual ideas of how she wanted her website to look and feel. We worked together to come up with a design and layout that reflected to soft comforting nature of style of yoga. Providence Swings had a big swing dance weekend coming up that will pull participants locally as well as from other states. They wanted to get a site set up that would handle a number of functions usually done manually like online registration, housing requests, sponsors for housing, and maps of the area for accommodations and restaurants. The registration process required a tiered pricing system where the first bunch of tickets would be offered for the least amount and once sold out the next tier would kick in for the next group of slightly higher pricing for 5 tiers. We figured out a solution using Gravity Forms to handle this – really pushing this wonderful application to its limit, it pretty much handled it beautifully except for a couple of minor glitches.

Adam Dau created the wonderful graphics on the site and has really brought Providence Swings and this weekend event to a much higher level.

Adam Dau from Providence Swings was looking for a really dramatic change to their existing site, something to reflect the energetic and fun nature of the Providence based group of swing dancers. The group offers lessons, workshops and swing dance events in the Rhode Island area. The new look emerged from a number of designs when Adam pulled up his sleeves and revealed his amazing graphic design skills creating the vibrant and colorful header for the site and incorporated his graphics in other areas of the site. We also were able to tackle the challenge of how to handle their somewhat complicated registration process as well.

Michelle Cordani had a template website that was difficult to maintain and desperately needed structure, design, and a strong web presence for her nutritional health business Pure Intentions. Incorporating colors and images and moving content into an effective structure has allowed her website to more effectively communicate the focus of her business. Michelle works with clients to educate them on how to read food labels and make the right food choices to help you understand how to eliminate toxins in your life, lose weight, and bring balance to your life. Helen Rainoff was in need of a logo and website for her newly formed business Getting Centered Meditation. It was important to have the design incorporate more than just your typical lotus flower and ying yang icons as the meditation focus is on group meditation for organizations and people in the work place. This was something different, new, that should appeal to both the corporate level as well as the need of individuals to gain more focus and clarity in the course of their busy work days. The logo and design and look of the web site evolved through a number of revisions until we arrived at the final product which just works. My friend Mira of Whimsy Beads, had an old website which I had designed years ago that was time consuming to maintain as it was built. We moved everything over to a new WordPress installation, keeping the original design and simplifying the portfolio as she is selling most of her work on Etsy now. Ed Dolan finally found the time to look into a website for his busy Metrowest Boston building and remodeling business, Dolan Remodeling. As often is the case, clients know they need a website but just can’t find the time or right person to work with. I designed the logo and website to capture the wide range of experience that Dolan Remodeling offers. The extensive photo gallery showcases many of the diverse projects Ed has been involved with.
