The Design Process

Planning & Content Development

Through an initial meeting I will gather information about your project. This will help me establish the design, functionality and criteria of the content. I also may ask you to fill out a Needs Analysis form to help me further understand the scope of your project.

Site Structure

The elements that were defined in the planning phase will be used to organize and plan the structure of your website. A detailed account of the scope of your project will be presented for your approval. At this point, I will prepare a contract and ask for a partial payment prior to starting work on your website.

Concept Development

After the scope of the project is established, we’ll further discuss the design objectives. During this phase, visual concepts are produced. Upon presenting the initial design concept, we’ll discuss your feedback and reactions to the concept with all members from the business/organization that are included in the process.

Design Development

Your feedback will be used to refine the concept through rounds of design. This entire phase is dedicated to visually producing each page within the site.

Production

Once the final website design is produced and approved, production of the website can take place. I will test the site on different platforms and browsers, making sure the site is accessible and functions properly. Once this is completed, an invoice will be sent to you for the balance owed on the website. When final payment is received, your website will be published to the web.
