Adam Dau from Providence Swings was looking for a really dramatic change to their existing site, something to reflect the energetic and fun nature of the Providence based group of swing dancers. The group offers lessons, workshops and swing dance events in the Rhode Island area. The new look emerged from a number of designs when Adam pulled up his sleeves and revealed his amazing graphic design skills creating the vibrant and colorful header for the site and incorporated his graphics in other areas of the site. We also were able to tackle the challenge of how to handle their somewhat complicated registration process as well.
It was a pleasure working with Adam throughout the development of this project. Please check out their site and perhaps sign up for one of their dance sessions!

My friend Mira of Whimsy Beads, had an old website which I had designed years ago that was time consuming to maintain as it was built. We moved everything over to a new WordPress installation, keeping the original design and simplifying the portfolio as she is selling most of her work on Etsy now. Now she will be able to update the gallery when she needs to add new designs and interface with her social media to keep her customers up to date with her shows and special events. The CAA website was recently moved over to a WordPress platform which I developed using the Thesis theme. Keeping the same format as the previous site, the look is pretty much the same but now with great functionality. Board members now can keep the website up-to-date themselves as needed. The 3 column layout can be carried consistently through the entire website so calendar events and other sidebar widgets can be seen on every page on the site.

The Hopkinton Music Association was in need of new logo and website. One of the greatest needs of this volunteer group was to replace the time consuming and costly production of a program book that is passed out at all of their concerts. Making all this material available online through their new website cuts their costs greatly and gives them the ability to make updates to concert and rehearsal schedules as needed. This was a personal favorite project of mine. I jumped at the opportunity work with the HMA, as the Hopkinton Music Program gave my kids so much through the years in the Hopkinton school system and created a wonderful supportive community for them to grow and become strong individuals. Kudos to all of you!

Survival By Design Cards is the creative outlet for print designer Jennifer Adler. These sassy greeting cards needed a new e-commerce website to give them the personality they deserved. Developing the site with WordPress, Thesis and Shopp, gave Jennifer the ability to manage her inventory easily and to showcase her seasonal, newly released, sale items in a timely fashion.

This site was developed for a local cultural arts group which occupies space in an old dairy farm. After maintaining the website for this group for a couple of years, I redesigned the site and logo to capture some of the wonderful characteristics of the buildings.

This site was created as both an artist porfolio site as well as an informational site for art lessons the artist offers through classes and individual instruction.
